WE ARE CLOSING
10 December 2024

Some of our services are being paused temporarily but we will be back.....

Unfortunately due to ongoing unresolved issues with our ever helpful Newcastle City Council & there recent decision to increase rates & rent on by 500%, on a small independent charity who exists solely to plug the gaps their municipal services are failing in creating. As such the North Newcastle Food Bank are unfortunately forced to close our doors for the foreseeable future.

Families 1st NE will still be offering our S.E.N support, Pastoral Care & Sign posting services. However Self Care, Mother & Baby & Food Bank services will all remain as a skeleton service strictly for individuals sent via organisational referrals, such as the GP services. We will unfortunately be closing all self referrals & non emergency parcels until a new distribution center is secured. This is a decision we are all absolutely devastated about and regret having to make, however in order to ensure we are able to continue our services again in the future, all efforts must be made to relocate and find a new head quarters.

Keep your eyes peeled & check for updates on our Facebook profile & blog posts.

We will be back.

Until then, thanks for your continued support.
